Netball reports

A team report, by Kitty Wilson

Today we once again were able to play on a sheltered court however the humidity was extremely high making water and fluids essential. Firstly, we played the under 17's, this was very difficult as they played quite dirty by going offside trying to stop and delay the flow of our game.  Despite this, they had extremely strong passes which lead us to work harder for the ball; one of our strengths were our interceptions throughout the entire game. We lost the first game 17-9 however persevered to beat the under 14,s and under 15's 12-5, showing our ability to win in the right frame of mind; we had very strong passes throughout the game and were able to move a lot better in the circle making it easier for the shooters to score. After the match we had a small ceremony where we presented them with a shamal and a ball and then we were given a small gold plaque and key chains to symbolise friendship between our two teams. After this we stood in rows and shook everyone's hand and were presented with a song symbolising the culture of Malaysia, it was very enriching and a great experience!
